CFA's Top CatsCFA has given awards to the highest scoring (commonly referred to in the cat fancy as "Top") cats, kittens, and premiership (altered) cats for many years. Beginning in 2005, the National Awards were presented to the to the Top Twenty-five Cats, the Top Twenty-five Kittens, and the Top Twenty-five Cats in Premiership at the CFA Annual Awards Banquet in late June. These top cats are called "National Winners" and are entitled to use the designation "NW" in their name. The Top Cats in the International Division are called "Division Winners" and use the designation "DW". Photos of the Top Twenty-five Cats, the Top Twenty-five Kittens, and the Top Twenty-five Cats in Premiership (alters) are available. Awards are also given for Best, Second Best and Third Best of Breed/Division and Best and Second Best of Color Class. The photos of the Best of Breeds can be seen attached to their respective breed profiles. CFA's National and Breed awards are presented at the Annual Awards Banquet held in conjunction with the Annual Meeting in June. This affair has become a highlight of the Annual Meeting, with over 600 fanciers attending the presentation and the color "slide show" honoring the winning cats.
